Summer is in full swing around here, and while I’ve been staying busy with corporate and headshot photography around Jacksonville, I’ve also been enjoying the fact that I can do a good majority of my work from home with the kids. Working from home means if I feel like taking a spur of the moment trip to Jacksonville Beach to get some new photos of my children (and I’m all caught up on my work, of course!), I can make that happen. And that’s exactly what we did last Thursday evening.
At 4:30 PM, I buckled the kids in the car and sent my husband Justin a message that we were meeting out near his office to head to the beach for new photos. I actually had an idea for a mini session concept that didn’t quite pan out, which is exactly why it’s important to test out ideas before you share them with your clients. Some ideas are better in theory than in practice, and as a business owner, you have to try everything before you launch it.
So instead of my shoot concept, which did NOT work at all (and that’s totally okay), I got to surprise my children with hanging out at the beach on a week night. And I got some pretty amazing new photos of them at the same time, which is a win in my book.
Here are a few of my favorites. If you love the look of beach photography, (and let’s be honest, it’s perfect for summer photos), I have a few Friday and Saturday evenings this summer available for 30-minute sessions. Contact me today for more information!
