They should be visually interesting, while also capturing who that person is and giving you an idea of what it’s like to have a conversation with them. Are they smiling? Do they look bored? Have they been photoshopped into oblivion? All of those things speak volumes to your customers and influence their likelihood of working with you. After all, if your headshot looks like you’re not willing to invest in your own business, why should they think you’ll be able to give them a quality experience?

These two headshot sessions were done at the studio at Cowork Creative in downtown Jacksonville. The clients are on the mortgage team at Community First Credit Union, one of my corporate clients. Our goal was to match the look and feel of some headshots that other members of their team had previously done before, so we needed some interesting white space. A friend suggested Cowork Creative, and it did not disappoint. What a great space for headshots! I brought my soft box lighting with me, and the combination of my Alienbee flash with the natural light studio was a match made in heaven.
