There’s a really terrible photo of me in high school, wearing khaki green cargo pants and a black spaghetti strap tank top, all accompanied with purple lens sunglasses and long frizzy hair. Lucky for you – and for me – that’s not going to appear in this blog post, because no one should be subjected to that.
But that awful photo was taken at the same location that we did one of Jessica and Dan’s monthly photo sessions – Riverside Park in Historic Five Points. This park has come a long way, guys. Yes, you still get the occasional bum approaching you for money, and it’s possible you might not want to walk around there after dark, but the entire Five Points area is so much better than it was 15 years ago when I was in my senior year of high school. I feel so old saying that.
This was one of my favorite sessions of Jessica & Dan and their sweet daughter. In case you’re new around here, Jessica was the winner in my Win Free Photos for a Year Contest last summer. We get together every month (unless we miss one, and then we double up on it the next month) and basically just document their lives. Each time we set it up, we try to brainstorm ideas of places that mean something to their family. They live over in Avondale and will ride their bicycles over to the park to feed the ducks and play around the park. And now that memory is forever captured.
Is there somewhere special for your family? Let’s save those memories with beautiful photography. Contact me for more details.
