As a child, I can remember sitting in the waiting room of doctor’s office with my mom. These were the days before smart phones, when you had to find other ways to entertain yourself while you waited. Looking to make the time go by faster, I picked up a photography magazine. As I read an article about a new Nikon digital camera and glanced through the stunning images taken with that camera, I was absolutely fascinated. I wanted to make photos like that. I wanted to hold the heavy glass lenses in my hands and somehow make magic happen.
Over the years through joys and sorrows, photography has become so much more than just a creative outlet for me. It is an emotional outlet. It is a way to give other people the kind of legacy of their lives that their children can physically hold on to and pass down, no matter what life brings. It gives me tremendous joy to be working on photos that I just KNOW my clients are going to place such an intrinsic value on both now and in the future.
